[Hell on Heels — Pistol Annies]
Can’t stop listening to this sassy song. Ready to be with my family so we can make some of our own soulful harmonies.

[Somebody That I Used to Know (Gotye cover) — Pentatonix]
flawless. impeccable. breathtaking.
Look up these words in a thesaurus if you want more colorful words of insight on this video.
THIS is a cappella done right. So right.
[Clear The Stage — Jimmy Needham]
“And read the Word
And put to test the things you’ve heard
Until your heart and soul are stirred
And rocked and broken.”
[War in My Blood — Fiction Family]
It’s these warm rainy days when I wear my rain boots on my way to class that I feel more like a “Jennie Catherine” than a “JC.”
I’d rather sing than be silent, so I settle for mouthing the words.
I’d rather fly than than walk, so I settle for skipping.
With bright eyes and a full heart, I’d rather be running through the jungles of Ecuador once again with the children of Casa de Fe.
My body is in Athens, but my heart is off chasing Adventure.
So, for now, I’ll settle for dancing down the street in my green rain boots to music like this, enjoying the fact that I am Jennie Catherine — a “perhaps” in a world full of “maybes.”
This is a staple tune in our sporadic family sing-a-longs. We slay this song. And The Oldest Girl and I even got to perform it last spring at a small show with the lead singer of Ponderosa. It was silly, but it was fun.
Missing The Dude and the rest of the family a lot today.
Folk yeah, family.
Folk yeah, Dooley.
Folk yeah, Friday.
Gladly I gave You my heart
That preacher he told me
That Love’s not easy
I told him I don’t want it to be
Darling, I need You like ships need the Sea
And I’m gonna love You for all of my days
I’m gonna love You for all of my days

[Like Ships Need the Sea — Emily Hearn]
I know this isn’t a song about God.
And I know it may seem a little silly.
But sometimes I like to sing it to Him.
[Too Darn Hot — Ella Fitzgerald]

What do you get when you have this steamy Georgia weather, subtract Air Conditioning from my cantankerous sweet, old Beamer and then throw me into the mix?
Well, friends, I’ll tell ya.
You get a very sweaty and crazy-haired girl absentmindedly singing this song when she drives anywhere.
I’d have to say that Miss Fitzgerald does an excellent rendition, but I might give her a run for her money with all the offhand practice I’ve been getting recently.
Sing us a song you’re the piano man.
When you are running on the track late at night, it’s okay to crank up the worship music and run your little heart out.
Should you however, feel the impulse to dance and sing and run all at the same time, be doubly triply certain that there is no one else around you. Never simply assume you are alone.
Because as sure as you begin to belt out “All my *gasp* fountains *gasp* are in You!” a boy will run around you and look at you like you are a crazy person.
Don’t be that crazy person who sings and dances while she runs.
